Een digitale baan is niets zonder een digitale centrale. De centrale zorgt voor de automatische aansturing van de treinen, wissels en seinen op de baan. Naast de fabriekscentrales zijn er ook zelfbouw-centrales en software-centrales, deze staan hier nog niet allemaal in dit overzicht vermeld.

Een digitale baan is niets zonder een digitale centrale. De centrale zorgt voor de aansturing van de loc's, treinstellen en/of treinen, wissels en seinen op de baan.
